Compact heat meter for precise energy consumption measurement

The ELF 2 heat meter is an advanced device designed to measure thermal energy consumption in heating and cooling systems, used in residential, office and commercial buildings. It is based on single-jet flow converters, providing measurement accuracy in accordance with PN-EN 1434 standard (class 2). Its compact design and attractive appearance allow for aesthetic installation in any room.

Construction features and functionality

The meter has been designed with versatility in mind. It can operate as a heat, cooling meter or simultaneously measure both parameters – the operating mode is defined when ordering. The possibility of mounting in both horizontal and vertical positions increases installation flexibility. It works particularly well in residential heating units (logoterms) thanks to the dynamic temperature measurement period (2-6 seconds). Equipped with PT500 temperature sensors and a flow converter with a nominal diameter of DN15 (1/2 inch), it provides precise readings. The maximum medium temperature is 90°C, and the mounting length is 110 mm. A GZ3/4 inch connection facilitates integration with the existing installation.

Communication and expansion possibilities

The ELF 2 heat meter offers rich communication possibilities, including support for the Modbus protocol, enabling integration with building automation systems and remote data reading via wired and wireless connections. Additionally, replaceable communication modules are available, allowing connection of even four other meters with pulse output (e.g. water meters). Battery power ensures independence from external energy sources. The IP54 protection class guarantees resistance to dust and splashes.
