Compact heat meter for precise energy measurement

The ELF 2 heat meter is an advanced device designed to measure thermal energy consumption in heating and cooling systems. It is ideal for use in residential, office, and commercial buildings. Thanks to its compact design and precise measurement, it ensures accurate billing and cost optimization. Mounted on the return pipe, with a GZ3/4" connection, it is easy to install and operate.

Construction and application

The meter is based on a single-jet mechanical flow transducer, which guarantees high measurement accuracy (class 2 according to PN-EN 1434). It can operate as a heat, cooling, or both media meter simultaneously – the operating mode is defined when ordering. The compact construction allows for installation in both horizontal and vertical positions. Thanks to the dynamic temperature measurement period (2-6 s), it is perfectly suited for operation in residential heat exchange stations (logotherms). Equipped with PT500 sensors, it provides a precise reading of the medium temperature.

Functionality and communication

The ELF 2 heat meter offers rich communication possibilities, including support for the Modbus protocol, enabling integration with building automation systems and remote data reading. Battery power ensures independence from the electrical network. Additionally, the ability to exchange communication modules allows connecting even four other meters with pulse output (e.g., water meters). The device is characterized by high resistance to electromagnetic interference and a flat error characteristic of the flow transducer. The IP54 protection class guarantees safe operation in various environmental conditions. The maximum medium temperature is 90°C, and the ambient temperature is 55°C.
