UPS RACK ARMAC R/3000I/PF1/DF ON-LINE 3000VA, 8x IEC C13, USB-B, LCD, metal housing, DUST-FREE.

Protecting Server Rooms and Professional Equipment in Rackmount Enclosures

The Armac R/3000I/PF1/DF online UPS provides 3000 VA / 3000 W of power in a 2U, 19" rackmount metal enclosure. Its power factor (PF) of 1 means that virtually all the energy drawn from the mains is delivered to the connected devices – without losses due to reactive power. Compared to conventional designs with a PF of 0.8, this provides up to 20% more power reserve, allowing you to connect additional workstations or choose a smaller model without the risk of overloading.

The online topology (double conversion) ensures that the mains power is first converted to DC and then back to AC – voltage fluctuations, surges, and electromagnetic interference are eliminated at the input. When the mains power fails, the UPS continues to supply power from the battery in less than 1 ms, without any interruption in power supply. The transfer time is 0 ms – servers, NAS devices, and routers continue to operate without losing packets or requiring virtual machines to be restarted.

Dust-Free Design and Cooling System

The Dust-Free series features an easily replaceable dust filter mounted behind the front panel. To remove it, simply unlock the panel, remove the filter, clean it with a damp cloth or vacuum cleaner, and reinsert it – the whole process takes just a few minutes and requires no tools. Regular cleaning of the filter effectively traps dust, toner, and other particles that can accumulate on the heat sinks.

The dense perforation of the front panel directs the airflow precisely where it is needed, and the intelligent PWM fans smoothly adjust their speed to the current load and temperature – reacting to changes in load every 1%. The result is stable operation with minimal noise (below 50 dB) and reduced energy consumption.

Batteries, Communication, and Expansion

Six VRLA AGM lead-acid batteries, each with a capacity of 12 V / 9 Ah, provide approximately 5 minutes of backup power at full load and approximately 10 minutes at half load. The charging time to 90% capacity is up to 6 hours.

The microprocessor-controlled power management system includes several mechanisms to extend battery life:

  • Lowered Cut-Off Voltage – the battery is disconnected at a higher voltage than standard, which reduces deep discharges and extends the cycle life by up to 30%.
  • Adjustable Cut-Off Threshold – the user can change the value from the LCD panel or via the USB/RS-232 port.
  • Automatic Self-Test every 60 days – the UPS simulates a power outage, checks the battery capacity, and saves the result to the PowerManager II log.
  • Temperature-Compensated Charging – the charging current adjusts to the ambient conditions.

The front panel features a clear LCD display showing the power status, load, and battery capacity. The USB Type-B and RS-232 communication ports operate in plug-and-play mode on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The PowerManager II software (with a Polish interface) allows you to schedule battery tests, save event logs, and send email alerts – so you know about problems in advance.

The Smart-Slot allows you to add an SNMP or Modbus TCP/IP card and integrate with network monitoring systems (Zabbix, PRTG). The EPO switch allows you to immediately disconnect the power – useful when working with fire suppression systems. For situations requiring longer backup power, there is also an EBM battery module connector, which allows you to connect additional battery packs.

Eight IEC C13 output sockets allow you to protect a server, storage, switch, and monitors simultaneously. The rack/tower enclosure allows installation in a 19" rack or as a free-standing tower unit.

The built-in processor monitors the device parameters and the correct operation of the connected devices. The overload protection module automatically terminates the power supply in a safe manner for the connected equipment. A pure sine wave output (also during battery operation) allows it to work with devices equipped with an electric motor or heater – laser printers, scanners, garage door openers, or central heating boilers. The model is also compatible with residual current circuit breakers up to 30 mA.
