Universal tape for synthetic rubber insulation

ArmaFlex ACE PLUS rubber tape is a flexible insulation material with a closed-cell structure, designed for joining and repairing synthetic rubber insulation. It is suitable for both professional HVACR installation and minor repairs or additions by end-users. Its versatility results from high-quality workmanship and well-thought-out parameters, which provide effective thermal and acoustic protection.

Properties and application

The tape is particularly recommended for use with ArmaFlex ACE PLUS insulation, but it is also compatible with other insulation systems based on synthetic rubber. It is perfect for wrapping pipes, elbows and securing glued connections. Its flexibility makes it easy to adapt to various shapes and diameters of installation elements. Thanks to its self-adhesive properties, installation is quick and easy – just peel off the protective film and stick the tape to the substrate. It is worth remembering that for optimal connection durability, it is recommended to use dedicated ArmaFlex 520 or ArmaFlex HT 625 adhesives.

Parameters and safety

The tape is characterized by high technical parameters, which guarantee its efficiency and durability. It provides effective thermal insulation thanks to its low thermal conductivity – a maximum of 0.035 W/(m·K) at 0°C and 0.040 W/(m·K) at 40°C. A high water vapor diffusion resistance coefficient (μ ≥ 10,000) minimizes the risk of moisture condensation inside the insulation. Fire class B-s3, d0 provides a high level of fire safety. The possibility of use in a wide range of installation operating temperatures guarantees a maximum operating temperature of +85°C (when gluing the entire surface to the object). The tape is available in rolls 50 mm wide and 3 mm thick, wound to a length of 15 m.
