Polyethylene insulation wrap for pipe insulation
Tubolit DG polyethylene wrap is a flexible insulation material with a closed-cell structure, designed for effective thermal and acoustic insulation of heating, hot and cold water, and sewage installations. This product is used in both residential and industrial buildings, providing optimal protection against energy loss and condensation.
Properties and application
Tubolit DG is characterized by a very low thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.04 W/(m·K), which allows for reducing energy losses by up to 90%. This contributes to improving the energy efficiency of the building and reducing CO2 emissions. The flexibility of the material makes installation easier, and its resistance to aggressive chemicals and moisture ensures long-term protection of the installation. Additionally, the wrap protects pipes from mechanical damage and prevents thermal bridges.
Product advantages:
- High insulation efficiency: Low thermal conductivity minimizes energy loss.
- Protection against condensation: Prevents moisture from forming on the surface of cold water pipes.
- Flexibility and ease of installation: Enables quick and trouble-free application on various installations.
- Chemical resistance: Protects against the action of aggressive substances present in the construction environment.
- CE marking: Confirms compliance with European standards and regulations.
- Fire reaction class E: Provides a basic level of fire safety.
- Noise reduction: Reduces noise levels from the flowing medium or building structure (up to 30 dB(A)).
- Wide range of applications: Ideal for insulating central heating pipes, domestic hot and cold water systems, and sanitary installations.
Construction features and installation
Tubolit DG wrap is made of closed-cell polyethylene foam, which provides excellent insulation properties and moisture resistance. In the initial phase of use, a slight shrinkage of the material (up to about 2%) may occur, therefore it is recommended to take this fact into account during installation. The product is easy to process – it can be cut with a knife or saw, adapting it to specific installation needs. Installation is done by applying the wrap to the pipe and securing it with straps or tape (depending on the project requirements).
Compliance with standards and operating conditions
Tubolit DG meets the requirements of PN-EN 14313:2009 and has a fire reaction class E according to EN 13501-1. It can be used at operating temperatures from the minimum temperature occurring in water and heating installations to a maximum of +100°C. The product is resistant to commonly used building materials such as cement, lime and gypsum.
