Polyethylene sheathing Tubolit DG is a flexible insulation material with a closed-cell structure, designed for thermal, acoustic and protective insulation of pipes in heating systems, hot and cold water and sewage systems. This product effectively reduces energy losses, contributing to improved energy efficiency of the building and reduced CO2 emissions. Thanks to its properties, the sheathing protects pipes from aggressive building materials and prevents condensation on cold water pipes.

Properties and application

Tubolit DG is characterized by a very low thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.04 W/(m·K), which makes it exceptionally effective in insulation. Fire reaction class E provides additional safety. The material is easy to install and flexible, making it easy to adapt to different installation configurations. It is worth remembering that in the initial phase of use, the sheathing may shrink by about 2% (or more in specific cases), which should be taken into account during installation.

• Insulation of central heating pipes: Ensures minimization of heat losses and efficient distribution of heat in the system.
• Insulation of hot and cold water pipes: Protects against overheating of domestic hot water and prevents condensation on cold water pipes.
• Insulation of sewage pipes: Reduces noise of flowing water and limits heat loss from grey water.
• Application in residential and industrial construction: The versatility of the product allows it to be used both in single-family homes and in industrial facilities.

Installation and additional information

The product has a CE mark, confirming compliance with European standards and regulations. During installation, it is recommended to use dedicated tools and adhesives from Armacell to ensure durable and tight connections. When insulating bends and elbows, you can use the Armaflex template or a cutting box for precise fitting of the insulation elements. Remember to properly prepare the surface before gluing and maintain an appropriate ambient temperature during installation (minimum +5°C). The length of the sheathing should be increased by 2-3% due to its tendency to shrink after installation.
