Thermal and acoustic insulation for demanding installations

SteinWolle ALU is an insulation wrap made of high-quality rock wool, coated with a layer of aluminum foil reinforced with a mesh. The product is designed for thermal and acoustic insulation of central heating pipelines, hot and cold water pipes, and ventilation ducts. It is suitable for both residential buildings and public and industrial facilities. Available in sections with a length of 1 meter, it offers convenient installation and minimal energy losses.

Properties and application

SteinWolle ALU is characterized not only by excellent insulation properties but also by high temperature resistance – up to +250°C. Thanks to this, it can be used in a wide range of applications, providing effective protection against heat loss and condensation. A self-adhesive tab facilitates installation, and a slit on one side allows it to be adapted to different pipe diameters. Rock wool also provides effective acoustic insulation, reducing the noise of the flowing medium.

Safety and compliance with standards

SteinWolle ALU meets the highest fire safety standards, with a fire class of A2L – s1, d0. This means that the material is non-combustible, does not emit smoke or burning droplets during a fire, which increases the safety of the installation and the building. Low thermal conductivity (≤ 0.037 W/(m·K) for wraps with a thickness of 20-40 mm) translates into energy efficiency and reduced heating costs. The material is made of rock wool, which ensures durability and reliable operation for a long time.
