This kit is designed for connecting a domestic hot water (DHW) tank in internal installations, particularly in systems working with single-speed heat pumps. It enables integration of the tank with the heat pump, ensuring optimal operation of the entire heating and DHW system. The kit contains all the necessary components for correct and safe connection, minimizing installation time and the risk of errors.

Components and Functionality

The kit includes a 3-way valve with an actuator, a temperature sensor, and connection connectors. The 3-way valve is responsible for precisely controlling the flow of hot water, directing it to the DHW tank or the heating circuit depending on demand. The temperature sensor monitors the temperature in the tank, sending information to the heat pump, which allows for efficient management of the water heating process. The connection connectors provide easy and tight connection to the existing hydraulic and electrical installation.

Installation and Application – for Professionals and Users

The kit has been designed for easy installation by a qualified installer, but its construction also allows the end-user to understand the principles of operation. The installation instructions (available in the technical documentation) detail the installation process, paying attention to the correct positioning of the 3-way valve and the temperature sensor in the DHW tank. It is important that the sensor is placed in the location of the original electric heater thermostat sensor – after removing the thermostat and isolating its sensor. The kit requires electrical connection with shielded cables (telephone cable type) to the heat pump control board and the DHW kit terminal block. Remember to set the summer/winter switch in the DHW tank to the "summer" position, if available, to enable the operation of the electric heater – which is necessary to achieve the desired temperature above 45°C and antibacterial overheating!
