Heating cable for drip tray – prevents water from freezing

This specialized heating cable is designed for installation under the drip tray of an air conditioner or heat pump. Its purpose is to prevent water from freezing collected in the tray after the defrost process, ensuring free drainage of condensate and uninterrupted system operation. The problem of freezing condensate is particularly important in winter, when the ambient temperature drops below zero.

Construction and application

The cable consists of a flexible heating cable that is laid under the drip tray. This cable is protected by silicone insulation, which guarantees its durability and resistance to weathering and temperatures ranging from -30°C to +180°C. The use of this solution is effective protection against damage to the drip tray caused by freezing water and expansion of volume. In addition, maintaining a clear condensate drain translates to reliable operation of the entire air conditioning or heat pump system.

Specification and installation

The cable has a power of 25 W/m and is available in two sections: 6 meters of heating cable and 1 meter of cold power cable. The whole is powered by 230 V. The cable is made of 2x0.25 mm wires, and its diameter is 5.5 mm (8 mm at the end). Installation is simple and intuitive – just lay the cable under the drip tray and connect it to a power source.
