Wireless motion sensor AURATON Aquarius PIR is an element of the intelligent domestic hot water (DHW) circulation system. Its task is to detect presence in the room and transmit a signal to the receiver, which enables the circulation pump to be switched on only when it is actually needed. This simple solution translates into energy savings and user comfort. AURATON Aquarius PIR works with the AURATON Aquarius CR receiver or the AURATON Aquarius SET kit, allowing you to operate "intelligent circulation" in multiple rooms simultaneously. The ability to pair up to 20 sensors with one receiver provides great flexibility in system configuration. This ensures that hot water is available almost immediately after entering the bathroom or kitchen, without having to wait for it to heat up – all while reducing energy losses associated with the continuous operation of the pump.

Installation and technical parameters

The Aquarius PIR motion sensor is easy to install and configure. Factory pairing with the receiver (included in the set) eliminates the need for a complicated pairing procedure – simply mount it in an appropriate place, e.g. on the wall in the bathroom or kitchen, at a height of about 2.5 meters. Remember to maintain an appropriate distance from the receiver (minimum 1 meter) to avoid signal interference. The device operates in a temperature range from 0°C to 40°C and is characterized by high reliability thanks to the use of high-quality components and a radio frequency of 868.850 MHz / 869.000 MHz. The operating range in a typical building is about 30 meters, and in open terrain it can reach up to 300 meters.
