The AURATON Pictor DS temperature controller is a device that combines advanced functionality with an aesthetic design, perfectly fitting into modern interiors. As a concealed weekly thermostat, it allows for maintaining thermal comfort with minute-level precision, regardless of whether the user prefers a constant temperature or a detailed operating schedule. Thanks to the touch control panel based on LED technology and protected by scratch-resistant ABS plastic, device operation is intuitive and fast – just a few taps are needed to change settings or switch to holiday mode.

Versatility of Applications and System Protection

The device has been designed to work with a wide range of heating and cooling systems. It seamlessly controls gas and electric boilers, heating mats, cables, and electric radiators. Importantly for installers and users of cooling systems, the Pictor DS can also operate in cooling or air conditioning mode. A key structural feature is the ability to connect an external floor temperature sensor. This allows the controller not only to monitor room air temperature but also to track floor temperature, which is essential for protecting underfloor heating from overheating and costly failures.

The Frost Guard function provides an additional level of safety – it automatically activates heating if the temperature drops below a programmed critical value, protecting the home from freezing even during prolonged absence of residents.

Programming and Installation Flexibility

Thanks to the ability to program up to 14 operating scenarios (including 6 independent temperatures within a day), the device adapts to the household's daily rhythm. The user can set a holiday mode for up to 30 days with an independent energy-saving temperature. Device installation does not require specialized tools or custom solutions – the controller is designed for standard 60 mm diameter installation boxes and uses typical wiring.

The device operates within a voltage range of 90 to 240 V AC at a frequency of 50-60 Hz, and its relay is rated for a current of up to 16 A at 250 V AC. Temperature regulation precision ranges from 1°C to 70°C with a configurable hysteresis of ±0.2°C or ±0.4°C, allowing the sensitivity to be matched to the specific heating system. The IP20 protection rating ensures safe operation only inside dry rooms, and the construction allows mounting in standard Ø60 mm boxes without the need for additional adapters.
