Transfers heat between rooms without the need to upgrade the installation

The Cosy Move CM100 kit is a ready-to-use solution for transferring warm air from a room with a chimney, wood stove, or other heat source to an adjacent room — without the need to install ducts in load-bearing walls or replace the ventilation system. The device operates automatically: the thermostat detects a temperature rise in the source room and switches on the fan, which draws in warm air and conveys it through the duct to the second room. When the temperature drops, the fan switches off automatically.

What's included in the kit and how it works in practice

The kit includes:

• exhaust fan Ø100 mm (WABIS series WAB100),
• thermostat with adjustable switching temperature,
• ventilation duct section 300 mm long with 100 mm diameter,
• ventilation grille for installation on the destination side.

Installation requires only an opening in the wall separating the two rooms — the duct passes through it at full wall thickness. The fan is mounted on the heat source side, the grille on the opposite side. The thermostat is placed close to the fan to accurately read the air temperature in the same room. It does not require connection to a building control system — it operates directly from the 230 V mains supply.

Who is this solution for?

It works ideally where you want to utilize free heat from a fireplace or stove but lack the possibility or wish to avoid expensive upgrades to mechanical ventilation. Useful in single-family homes, chalets, and apartments with an open fireplace — especially when adjacent rooms (living room, bedroom, hallway) remain cool despite a hot chimney. The fan operates quietly — noise level does not exceed 37 dB(A), and its ABS construction with ball bearings ensures durability when operating at temperatures up to 40 °C. IPX4 protection rating allows installation even in humid locations — e.g., near a fireplace in a bathroom or sauna.

This is not a general-purpose fan — it is not intended for removing moisture or kitchen air. It is a specialized tool for transferring heat between adjacent spaces.
