Hybrid ventilation system that operates without the need for two separate ducts

The AWENTIS II-A system enables ventilation of two rooms using a single 125 mm diameter duct. There is no need to install two separate pipes – one is sufficient, and the system automatically decides whether air exchange should occur via natural (gravity) or mechanical means. This solution is particularly useful in spaces where designing two ducts is challenging, such as apartment blocks or small kitchens.

How does it work?

At one inlet, a ventilation grille is installed – in this configuration, the system functions as a gravity ventilation system: air exits naturally due to pressure differences. At the second inlet, a fan is connected – upon activation, the movable damper automatically closes the gravity duct and directs the entire airflow through the fan. No manual switching is required – the damper responds to the presence or absence of voltage at the fan. This ensures constant circulation in Room A, while in Room B, odors, moisture, or steam from cooking can be quickly removed.

What's included in the kit?

The AW2-A kit includes everything needed for installation:

• Gypsum board – for finishing the opening in the ceiling or wall
• PVC trim ring – aesthetically conceals the opening and is easy to clean
• Two 10 cm duct sections – for connection to the existing installation
• Movable damper – the key component for automatic switching

The kit does not include a grille or a fan – these components must be selected separately. The system is ready for any type of 230 V, 50 Hz fan.

There is no need to break walls or install additional ducts. This not only saves materials but also time and costs.
