Control cable BiT 500 (St) 7G0.75 500V SB0289
Control cable for wide application in electrical installations
The BiT 500® 7G0.75 control cable is a flexible solution designed for internal applications in control circuits, powering control and protective devices, and low-power loads. This cable is particularly suitable for machines and production lines, operating reliably in both dry and humid environments. Its flexibility simplifies routing, while high-quality PVC insulation ensures durable connections.
Construction and properties
The BiT 500® cable features seven copper conductors, each with a cross-section of 0.75 mm². The conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and enclosed in a gray PVC outer sheath. A foil shield protects against electromagnetic interference, which is critical in precision control systems. Additionally, the cable includes an earth conductor to enhance operational safety. The cable’s construction meets fire resistance requirements according to IEC 60332-1-2.
Applications and benefits
- Versatility: Ideal for installations in dry and humid indoor environments, both fixed and mobile.
- Flexibility: Facilitates cable routing even in confined spaces and complex installations.
- Safety: The earth conductor and shield provide protection against electric shock and electromagnetic interference.
- Durability: High-quality insulating materials ensure long-term, reliable performance.
- Conductor identification: Colored and numbered conductors simplify identification during installation and servicing.
- Operating temperature range: The cable maintains its properties across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +80°C after installation, making it suitable for diverse operating conditions.
- Bending radius: Minimum bending radius is 78 mm for mobile installations without guidance, and 39 mm for fixed installations — consider this when designing cable routes.
- Conductor resistance: Conductor resistance at 20°C is 26 Ω/km, influencing the efficiency of electrical power transmission.
