Control Cable BiT 500 BLACK FR – Reliability and Safety in Every Circuit
The BiT 500 (St) BLACK FR 7G0.75 control cable is a flexible, multi-stranded copper cable designed for use in control, power, and protective control systems. It is suitable for both fixed and mobile installations, indoors and outdoors, as well as underground. It performs exceptionally well in industrial environments requiring high resistance to external factors and limited flame propagation.
Construction and Operating Parameters
The BiT 500 BLACK FR cable features a design ensuring high durability and reliability. Constructed with a flexible Class 5 copper strand (per PN-EN 60228), insulated with PVC, it contains 7 cores of 0.75 mm² cross-section. The cores are numbered for easy identification. Additionally, the cable is equipped with a metallized foil shield and a protective PE earth conductor. The shield minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is critical in precision control systems. The outer sheath, made of PVC, provides resistance to mechanical damage and UV radiation.
This cable is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C (fixed installations) and from -5°C to +80°C (mobile installations). The minimum bending radius is 94 mm for mobile installations and 56.4 mm for fixed installations. The rated voltage is 500V, and the conductor resistance at 20°C is 26 Ω/km.
Safety and Compliance with Standards
User safety is a top priority. The BiT 500 BLACK FR cable complies with stringent fire resistance standards: IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24 (Category C). It does not emit toxic gases during combustion (halogen-free, in accordance with IEC 60754-1 and IEC 60754-2), enhancing safety in case of fire. The fire reaction class according to EN 13501-6 is Eca. Additionally, the cable is oil-resistant (in accordance with IEC 60811-404).
