Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability of connections
This telecommunication cable, designated HTKSH FE180/PH90/E90, is designed to provide the highest level of safety and reliability in critical installations. It is a fire-resistant, halogen-free cable intended for signal transmission in places where high fire resistance and minimal release of toxic substances during a fire are required.
Construction and properties
The cable consists of 20 cores, each with a cross-section of 0.8 mm². The use of copper working conductors of class 1 (according to EN 60228 and IEC 60228 standards) guarantees good conductivity and durability of connections. The cable construction is based on pairing, tripling or quadrupling of cores, which facilitates identification and organization of wires. The cable is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage and the influence of atmospheric factors.
Application and benefits
HTKSH FE180/PH90/E90 finds application in a wide range of telecommunication installations, including:
- Fire alarm systems: Ensures reliable operation of alarm systems even in the event of a fire.
- Data centers and server rooms: Protects critical infrastructure from the effects of fire and minimizes the risk of downtime.
- Public buildings: Ensures the safety of users in the event of a fire hazard.
- Industry: Ideal for use in industrial environments where high fire resistance and external factors are required.
- Internal installations: Excellent for routing inside buildings where fire safety is a priority.
The cable meets stringent standards for fire resistance (IEC 60331) and maintaining electrical functions during a fire (EN 50200, DIN 4102-12). In addition, its halogen-free construction minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion, which increases the safety of people and the environment. The test voltage of the cable is 1500V AC and 2250V DC, and the insulation resistance is min. 500 MΩ/km. The minimum bending radius for permanent connections is 10x the cable diameter. The operating temperature is from -25°C to +70°C for stationary installations and from -5°C to +50°C for mobile installations.
