Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability of connections
This fire-resistant telecommunication cable, manufactured by BITNER, is designed to ensure safe and reliable data transmission in critical applications. The HTKSH FE180/PH90/E90 cable stands out with its high fire resistance parameters, making it an ideal choice for installation in places with increased safety requirements. It is a solution for both professional installers and end customers who value safety and long-term functionality.
Construction and properties
This cable is characterized by a construction with copper core wires of class 1 (according to EN 60228, IEC 60228), which guarantees good conductivity and flexibility. Made of halogen-free materials, it does not emit toxic gases during combustion, which further increases the level of safety in the event of a fire. The cable is designed not to spread flames either on a single section or in a cable harness. It meets the requirements of IEC 60331 standards regarding fire resistance and EN 50200 / DIN 4102-12 in terms of maintaining electrical functions during a fire.
Application and technical parameters
The HTKSH FE180/PH90/E90 cable is intended for indoor use. It is perfect for fire alarm systems, alarm systems and other applications requiring a high level of safety. Designed to operate at 150/250V and withstands a voltage test at 1500V AC and 2250V DC. The insulation resistance is at least 500 MΩ/km, and the capacitance is 120 nF/km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
The cable has a core cross-section of 2.8 mm² and consists of 6 cores. The operating temperature ranges from -25ºC to 70ºC (for movable installations from -5ºC to 50ºC), and the minimum laying temperature is -5ºC.
The cable is available in various configurations of core cross-sections – detailed data on diameter and weight per kilometer can be found in the table available from the manufacturer (BITNER). The choice of the appropriate cross-section depends on the specifics of the installation and the required load current. Remember to follow proper installation principles and adhere to safety standards when installing telecommunication cables.
