This halogen-free telecommunications cable with shielding, designed for internal and external installations, provides safe and stable connections in telecommunications networks. The HTKSHekw cable has been designed for demanding applications where limiting the spread of fire in the event of a failure is crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of four single-core copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.8 mm², which provide good conductivity and flexibility. The conductors are insulated with a halogen-free polymer mixture, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion – important for the safety of people and the protection of the environment. Pairs of conductors are twisted in parallel, and the core is wrapped with a polyester tape for additional protection. A screen made of aluminum foil laminated with an earthing conductor (0.4 mm) effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing a stable signal transmission.

• Fire resistance: Meets the standards PN-EN 60332-1 and PN-EN 60332-3-24, which confirms its properties limiting the spread of flames. This is crucial in places with increased fire safety requirements.

• Flexibility: Single-core copper conductors class 1 (according to PN-EN 60228) provide good flexibility of the cable, making installation and routing easier.

• Insulation resistance: High insulation resistance (minimum 200 MΩxkm) provides effective protection against short circuits and leakage currents.
