Mining cable YHKGXSFtZnyn – reliable power supply in harsh conditions

This shielded, armored mining cable is designed for operation in demanding conditions typical of open-pit, borehole and underground mining (dust explosion hazard class A). It provides safe and stable power supply for electrical equipment. The cable construction, with copper conductors insulated with PVC and an additional steel armor, guarantees high mechanical resistance and protection against damage.

Construction and properties

The YHKGXSFtZnyn cable stands out with its solid construction. Made of copper conductors insulated with PVC, it has an inner PVC coating and galvanized steel tape armor. This construction provides not only protection against mechanical damage, but also increases resistance to external factors. Additionally, the cable is characterized by high flexibility and ease of installation. An important aspect is also the flame retardancy – the cable meets the standards PN-EN 60332-3-24 and IEC 60332-3-24 (cable bundle test category C) and has an oxygen index above 29.

Operating parameters and safety

The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -30°C to +70°C, and the minimum permissible installation temperature is -5°C. The operating voltage is 0.6/1kV, and the test voltage reaches 3.5kV. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 6xØ, while for mobile receivers – 10xØ. Thanks to the materials and construction used, this cable ensures long-lasting and safe operation in harsh mining conditions.
