Energy cable YKY 4x120 – a reliable choice for medium-voltage installations

The YKY 4x120 cable is a solid and versatile power cable designed to transmit energy in electrical installations with a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV. Made of copper with PVC insulation, it ensures safe and efficient operation in a wide range of applications. Although superseded by the YnKY model, this cable is still used in existing installations or where the technical specifications permit its use.

Construction and application

The YKY cable consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 120 mm², each insulated with PVC. These conductors are twisted together and surrounded by an outer PVC sheath, providing protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors. This makes the cable ideal for:

• underground installations (direct burial),
• above-ground installations (in protective conduits),
• buildings and civil engineering structures,
• power distribution in power networks.

It is important to remember the maximum conductor temperature limit of 70°C and the maximum length of the sales section of 50 meters.
