Steel inspection hatch – reliability and durability

This 1000x1000 mm inspection hatch is a solid solution for use in sewage systems, water and sewage installations, and as access to underground infrastructure elements. Made of stainless steel, it provides long-term protection against corrosion and mechanical damage. The ribbed cover guarantees safe use, minimizing the risk of slipping.

This hatch is suitable for both public facilities and private installations. Its durable construction allows for safe use even under heavy load. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials, the hatch is resistant to weathering and aggressive chemicals.

Construction and materials

The hatch is made of stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304), with a thickness of 2 mm or 3.5 mm depending on the manufacturer, which translates into its high strength and resistance to deformation during assembly and operation. The grate is also made of stainless steel, ensuring its durability and corrosion resistance. Additional reinforcement of the structure by reinforcing with rods inside the flap increases its load capacity. The tightness of the hatch is guaranteed by an EPDM gasket, which is properly pressed under the weight of the hatch, ensuring waterproof and gas-tight performance. The set includes lifting bolts for easy operation.
