Bluetooth RFM-RBT2 radio receiver, for wM-BUS standard data reading from water and heat meters, range up to 300m
Remote reading of measuring devices via Bluetooth
The device enables data collection from radio modules installed on water meters, heat meters, heat cost allocators, and temperature sensors - all in accordance with the wM-BUS EN 13757-4 standard. The signal from these devices is then transmitted wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet with an Android system using the Bluetooth 5.1 Class 2 (WPAN) protocol. The receiver works with devices equipped with radio modules manufactured by BMETERS - both those mounted on cold and hot water meters, as well as on thermal energy measurement devices.
The free Hydrolink Mobile application, available in the Google Play Store, allows for convenient viewing and downloading of reading data from individual end users. Collected information can be saved directly on the mobile device or exported to external software or sent via e-mail to any address. The application supports Android version 5 or higher and requires a screen with a diagonal of at least 4.3 inches.
Radio communication and range
The receiver receives signals at a frequency of 868 MHz in accordance with the EN 13757-4 specification - T1(Rx) mode. The operating band is selectable from the mobile application level (867/868/921 MHz). The maximum signal range is up to 300 meters in open space under optimal wave propagation conditions; indoors, the real range reaches approximately 50 meters, which is sufficient for typical residential and commercial installations.
The device can be equipped with an internal or external antenna - the latter solution uses an SMA connector, allowing for the connection of an antenna with better parameters in situations where terrain conditions require greater range.
Power supply and autonomy
The built-in 3300 mAh LiPo battery (non-replaceable) provides a maximum of two days of continuous operation. A full charge takes up to 6 hours via a USB type C port (5V / 2A). The manufacturer specifies a battery life of up to 500 charging cycles, which, with typical installer usage, means several years of trouble-free operation.
Construction and operating conditions
The housing dimensions are 70 × 115 × 25 mm and it weighs only 300 g - it fits in a jacket pocket or tool bag, making it a handy field tool. The housing protection rating is IP54, which means dust tightness and resistance to water splashes - sufficient for working outside buildings.
The device operates in temperatures from -10°C to +55°C, so it will work well both when reading external installations in winter and in boiler rooms in summer.
The manufacturer holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certificates, and the product itself is exempt from the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (Art. 1 §2b), confirming its status as a low-voltage device not subject to this regulation.
