The HYDROCAL M4 heat meter is specifically designed for apartments and small homes, measuring thermal energy consumption by combining water flow measurement with the temperature difference between the supply and return lines. Its design is optimized for simple installation and reliability — it requires no external power source, and the battery ensures operation for up to 10 years.

The wireless module operates in Wireless M-BUS and LoRaWAN standards, enabling secure, remote data reading without physical access to the device. It is compatible with the HYDROLINK system, simplifying billing management in multi-family buildings. Data is transmitted automatically — no need to enter premises to read consumption.

Internal signal transmission between the flow sensor and the electronic unit is magnet-free — immune to interference or magnetic tampering attempts. This is critical for installers seeking to ensure measurement integrity and prevent fraud.

Installation is straightforward: the external thread DN15 (1/2") allows direct connection to the supply pipe. The mounting length of 110 mm minimizes the need for system modifications. The nominal flow rate Qp = 0.6 m³/h makes this meter ideal for typical residential heating systems — even in new buildings compliant with WT2021.

Temperature sensors are digital and highly precise, enabling accurate energy calculations in kWh or GJ. The device displays not only total consumption but also real-time supply and return temperatures, temperature differential, and instantaneous power consumption in kW. All data is stored historically — enabling daily consumption tracking.

The delivery includes: electronic module, brass flow transducer with integrated temperature sensors (for supply mounting), a 1.5 m return temperature sensor, and instruction manual. No additional components such as tees or fittings are included — installation requires only proper preparation of the piping system.

An optional module, IR-MB-PULSE (available since 2023), allows connection of two additional pulse water meters — ideal for more complex billing systems.
