Modern thermal and cooling energy measurement
The HYDROCAL M4 compact residential heat meter is an advanced measuring device designed for the precise billing of heat and cooling energy in residential installations and small facilities. Thanks to the built-in WMBUS/LORA radio module, it enables wireless data reading and integration with the HYDROLINK remote monitoring system.
Measurement precision and advanced technology
At the heart of the device are high-precision digital temperature sensors, which, combined with accurate water flow measurement, ensure very high precision in energy billing. Non-magnetic transmission between the flow transducer and the electronic unit guarantees reliable operation and full protection against magnetic field interference attempts.
The device operates in accuracy class 2 with a flow dynamic of 50/50, allowing for accurate measurement at both low and high flows. A starting threshold of only 4 l/h enables the detection of even minimal flows.
Functionality and versatility
The heat meter displays current energy consumption in kWh/GJ units, instantaneous heating medium flow, and supply/return temperatures along with the temperature difference on an LCD (8 characters + icons). The system also records historical consumption readings with dates and the cumulative flow volume.
After installing the additional IR-MB-PULSE module (available since 2023), it is possible to connect 2 pulse water meters, which significantly expands the device's range of applications.
Construction and operating parameters
The compact design with a length of 110mm has been designed in accordance with the latest trends in heat metering. The electronic unit can be rotated by 360°, facilitating installation and reading of indications regardless of the pipeline orientation.
The device is powered by a lithium battery with a projected lifespan of 10 years, eliminating the need for frequent power replacements. The IP65 protection class ensures reliable operation even in difficult environmental conditions.
Measuring ranges and compatibility
The heat meter operates in a wide temperature range:
- Heat: 1÷90°C (difference 3÷90K)
- Cooling: 0,2÷90°C (difference 0,2÷90K)
Adapted for DN15 installations with a nominal flow qp = 1,5 m³/h (maximum qs = 3,0 m³/h). Approved for use with water as the measuring medium.
Compliance with PN-EN 13757-2/3 standards and environmental class A (E1; M1) confirm the high quality of workmanship and the reliability of the device in long-term operation.
