The HYDROCAL M4 residential heat meter is an advanced measuring device designed for precise monitoring of thermal and cooling energy consumption in apartments and small houses. Thanks to its compact design and built-in radio module, it is an ideal solution for modern heating and cooling installations.
Precise measurement of thermal and cooling energy
The device utilizes high-precision digital temperature sensors combined with accurate water flow measurement, enabling the calculation of heat and cold energy with very high accuracy. The temperature difference measured by precision sensors, combined with flow measurement, allows for a comprehensive energy analysis of the installation.
The model operates with a nominal flow rate Qp of 1.5 m³/h, providing a wide flow dynamic range qi/qp of 1:50. The device maintains a measurement accuracy class of 2, and the operating temperature range is between 1°C and 90°C.
Advanced wireless communication technology
The model is equipped with an integrated WMBUS/LORA radio module, which enables wireless transmission of measurement data. The device is compatible with the HYDROLINK remote reading system, allowing for data acquisition via radio without the need for physical access to the device.
The heat meter enables remote reading of heat/cold consumption values expressed in kWh/GJ and the transmission of historical data with measurement dates. The system also transmits information about the instantaneous flow of the heating medium and offers the possibility of connecting additional pulse water meters via the IR-MB-PULSE external module.
Secure design resistant to interference
The heat meter utilizes magnet-free transmission between the flow transducer and the electronic unit, ensuring reliable operation and high measurement stability. The design guarantees low starting thresholds and full protection against attempts to influence the device with a magnetic field.
The device is characterized by an overall length of 110mm for the nominal diameter DN15. The housing maintains an IP65 protection class, and the electronic unit can be rotated 360° for easy reading. Power is supplied by a lithium battery with a projected lifespan of 10 years.
Wide range of applications
The device is adapted for installation in heating and cooling systems, offering a comprehensive solution for various energy systems. After installing the additional IR-MB-PULSE module, it is possible to connect two pulse water meters, which expands the range of monitored parameters.
