Modern heat meter with radio communication module

The HYDROCAL M4 compact residential heat meter is an advanced measuring device dedicated to the precise counting of thermal and cooling energy in residential installations. Equipped with a built-in WMBUS/LORA radio module, it enables remote data reading without the need for physical access to the device.

Design and operating parameters

The compact housing has been designed in accordance with the latest trends in heat metering. Magnet-free transmission between the flow transducer and the electronic unit ensures operational reliability and full protection against magnetic field interference attempts.

The device operates in a temperature range up to 90°C with a flow dynamic of qi/qp 1:50, allowing for accurate measurement at both very low and high flows. The starting threshold is only 6 l/h, and the pressure loss for the nominal flow does not exceed 0.25 bar.

Functionality and expansion capabilities

Built-in high-precision digital temperature sensors enable accurate measurement of the temperature difference between the supply and return. The electronic unit can be rotated by 360°, facilitating optimal display positioning.

After installing an additional IR-MB-PULSE module (available separately), it is possible to connect two pulse water meters, significantly expanding the functionality of the measuring system.

Remote data reading system

The heat meter is compatible with the HYDROLINK system, enabling radio data acquisition via W-MBUS or LORA standards. This allows for wireless reading of all installation operating parameters.

The device displays and records key data: current heat consumption in kWh/GJ units, current amount of thermal/cooling energy, historical readings with dates, instantaneous heating medium flow, and cumulative flow volume.

Power supply and durability

Lithium battery power provides a projected lifespan of 10 years, eliminating the need for frequent power source replacement. The IP65 protection class guarantees reliable operation even in difficult environmental conditions.

The device meets the requirements of environmental class A (E1; M1) and accuracy class 2, confirming its high measurement quality and compliance with European standards.
