Cable pull lubricant – simplifying installation

GLISS WMM is a specialized lubricant designed to significantly facilitate the process of pulling and blowing power, telephone, and fiber optic cables into conduits and cable ducts. Its unique formula, based on water and glycol, minimizes friction between the cable and the conduit walls, reducing resistance by up to 90% – resulting in faster and less demanding installation. This allows both installers and end-users to rely on efficient project completion.

How does GLISS WMM work?

The lubricant creates a thin, durable lubricating layer that remains on the cable even after the water evaporates. This layer does not stick to the conduit, making future replacement or addition of cables easier. GLISS WMM is particularly recommended for pneumatic installations, where uniform distribution of the lubricant on the inside of the conduit is crucial for effective cable blowing. It can be used with blowers equipped with a dispenser, or by directly lubricating the cables before or behind the drive wheel.

GLISS WMM is an environmentally friendly product – it is non-toxic, non-flammable, and biodegradable. It can be used in a wide range of temperatures (from -15°C to 50°C), making it a versatile solution for various working conditions. It is suitable for laying large power cables in concrete channels, as well as for installing delicate fiber optic cables. The application method is simple: just apply the lubricant with a sponge to the cable before inserting it into the conduit. Actual consumption depends on the diameter and length of the conduit and cable – it is estimated that about 5-10 grams of lubricant per meter of cable is needed.
