CWS 250A Angle Connector Termination Head

The CWS 250A angle connector termination head is designed for connecting single-core cables with extruded insulation to switchgear and transformers at a maximum network voltage of 24 kV. The product utilizes a Type A interface compliant with EN 50180 and EN 50181 standards.

Construction and Materials

The termination head body is touch-safe thanks to a conductive coating made of EPDM. The shielded design eliminates electromagnetic interference.

An integrated capacitive voltage divider allows for phase sequence determination without the need to disconnect the power supply.

Versatility of Application and Compatibility

The device supports conductor cross-sections from 70 to 150 mm² and various types of single-core cables:

• PE (polyethylene), VPE (cross-linked polyethylene), EPR (ethylene-propylene) insulation
• Various types of screens: graphitized, extruded, or semi-conductive
• Copper wire or tape screens
• Copper and aluminum conductors

The screw terminal system ensures installation while maintaining a wide range of applications.

Operating Parameters and Safety

The termination head operates at a rated current of 250 A and a rated voltage of U0/U (Um) = 12/20 (24) kV. The device has passed type tests and tests in accordance with the CENELEC HD 629.1 standard.

Resistance to environmental conditions covers both indoor and outdoor applications.
