Ampul anchor 24mm VA – solution without expanding forces for heavy loads in concrete

The VA 24mm ampul anchor is designed for fastening large loads in concrete, even at very small distances from the edge – because it does not generate expanding forces. Instead of relying on a mechanical lock, it works through a chemical bond between steel, mortar and the concrete substrate. This provides stability that does not depend on wall thickness or proximity of other holes.

The product uses a two‑component vinylester resin without styrene – safe for the installer and stable over time. During installation the glass ampule is broken, mixing with the resin, hardener and aggregates, forming a homogeneous mass that cures and bonds to the concrete at a molecular level.

Installation is possible only with VA AST anchoring rods with a sharpened tip. It cannot be replaced by other rods – the lack of proper sharpening prevents correct adhesive distribution and leads to a dangerous reduction in load capacity. Each set includes an insertion tool – simply rotate the rod while driving it in to activate the adhesive.

Compatibility and durability

The anchor has a European Technical Assessment (ETA) – confirming its safety and load capacity in undamaged concrete. Long‑term stability has been verified for at least 2.5 years – meaning that after installation you do not have to worry about degradation of the joint.

It is worth remembering: load capacity depends on the cleanliness of the hole. Before installation the drilled hole must be thoroughly cleaned – dust or moisture can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the bond. This is not “gluing like paint” – it is a precise chemical anchoring technology.

Who is it for?

For the installer: no need to calculate edge distances, no risk of concrete cracking with close holes, installation is faster than with mechanical anchors for large diameters.

For the end user: the connection does not “come loose” over time – no squeaking or vibrations under dynamic loads (e.g., machinery, load‑bearing structures).
