Segment anchor BA Plus 16x320 – solution for heavy concrete constructions

The BA Plus 16x320 anchor is intended for structural fastening in uncracked concrete, in accordance with ETA Option 7 approval. Its design provides high load capacity – 11.9 kN in tension and 14.6 kN in shear – making it suitable for heavily loaded elements such as beams, frames or machinery.

A rounded expansion cone facilitates installation, especially with through‑driving, and the long thread (specified by the manufacturer as a feature of all sizes) offers flexibility when matching the thickness of the mounted element. The value tfix = 200 mm indicates the minimum material thickness to which the anchor can be installed – it is not the thread length, which is not provided in the sources.

A yellow marker on the body indicates the exact embedment depth (85 mm), eliminating the risk of improper insertion and guaranteeing the design load. A large‑size washer makes the anchor ideal for use in wooden structures – it distributes the load and prevents cracking.

Minimum distance from the concrete edge is 140 mm, and minimum spacing between anchors is 255 mm. These values apply to concrete C20/25; for higher concrete classes (up to C50/55) the capacity may increase by up to 55 %. The required installation torque is at least 50 Nm – the value given by the manufacturer for this size.

The anchor is produced by cold‑forming, which ensures high thread hardness and dimensional accuracy. It does not require additional fastening elements or specialized equipment. Installation is carried out in a standard 18 mm diameter hole.
