Expansion anchor BA plus 20x215 – mounting in concrete with large washer
The anchor is designed for durable and safe mounting in uncracked concrete, in accordance with the European technical approval ETA (option 7). Its construction allows use in tensile and shear loads – especially with high forces such as those occurring when installing beams, columns or wooden structures on concrete foundations.
High load capacity results from a precisely formed screw and cold‑drawn thread, providing hardness and wear resistance. The rounded expanding cone facilitates installation – even in difficult conditions, e.g., when driving through dense concrete. All models feature long threads, giving flexibility when fastening materials of varying thickness.
Installation and functionality
Each unit includes a large washer compliant with ISO 7094 (DIN 440), ideal for fastening wood or other thick materials – e.g., 75 mm beams. A yellow marker on the anchor body indicates the optimal embedment depth, eliminating installation errors. The threads are protected during driving – they do not get damaged or clogged with dust.
Installation tightening torque is 180 Nm – requires the appropriate tool but ensures full expansion. Drilled hole diameter is 22 mm, and effective embedment depth 100 mm. Minimum material thickness that can be attached: 75 mm.
Applications and benefits
For the installer: No additional force is needed when driving – the cone expands automatically. The depth marker removes the need for post‑installation measurements.
For the end user: No risk of weakening the foundation – the anchor works only in uncracked concrete, without pressure on the edges.
Tensile capacity: 19.5 kN (for galvanized steel), matching typical loads for load‑bearing structures.
Allowed edge distance: 150 mm, spacing: 300 mm – provides stability even when several anchors are placed close together.
Galvanized version – corrosion‑resistant in dry and moderately humid conditions.
Not suitable for cracked concrete, dense natural stone, or low‑strength materials. Intended for concrete class C20/25 and higher (up to C50/60 load capacity increases up to 55%).
