BAZ 12x148 galvanized anchor – robust fastening in demanding conditions

The BAZ 12x148 galvanized anchor is a component designed for situations where space is limited and load‑bearing and stability requirements are high. Its design allows safe fastening even in locations with a small edge distance – ideal for installation in thin walls, at the edges of plates, or in areas with dense reinforcement.

The long thread (148 mm) provides flexibility during installation – it allows the embedment depth to be adjusted to the thickness of the target element, even when it is considerably greater than the standard 50 mm. This means no additional washers or modifications to the construction are required. High tension and shear load capacity enables the anchor to perform both in damaged (cracked) concrete and in intact concrete – ETA approval and CNBOP certification confirm its compliance with European safety standards.

Installation is simple: it only requires a correctly sized hole of 12 mm diameter and a tightening torque of 35 Nm. The reduced force needed to set the anchor – resulting from its segmental construction – eases the installer’s work, especially in hard‑to‑reach places. No special tools or extra pressure are needed – a standard wrench is sufficient.

Note: the minimum edge distance is 55 mm and the minimum concrete thickness is 140 mm. These values must not be exceeded without reducing the load capacity. The anchor operates safely in concrete C20/25 and higher classes, and its load capacity can increase by up to 31 % in higher‑strength concrete (up to C50/60).
