BAZ 12x103 anchor A4 steel – robust mounting in harsh conditions

The BAZ 12x103 anchor made of A4 steel is designed for applications where corrosion resistance and high load capacity are required – especially in environments exposed to moisture, chemicals or marine conditions. Its segmental construction allows safe and stable fixing in concrete, even with minimal edge distances.

The long thread (103 mm) provides flexibility during installation – it enables adjustment of embedment depth to the thickness of the target element, which is crucial when working with thin sheets, profiles or irregular‑thickness parts. High load capacity and a low minimum edge distance (55 mm) make the anchor suitable where other anchor types would fail – e.g., when mounting close to the edge of a slab or in confined spaces.

The ETA certification confirms its proven performance in both sound and cracked concrete – meaning it operates reliably even in old structures or when working near reinforcement. Installation requires only the appropriate drill (Ø 12 mm) and a torque of 20 Nm – the process is simple and does not require special equipment.

Compared with anchors with a zinc coating, A4 steel not only offers better corrosion resistance but also eliminates the risk of galvanic reaction when in contact with other metals – which is important for installations in hydraulic systems, pools or industrial facilities.

Note: the minimum concrete thickness should be 140 mm. With thinner concrete or edge distances less than 55 mm, the load capacity decreases – this should be taken into account in the design.
