BAZ 16×138 Anchor – A4 stainless steel solution for demanding applications

The BAZ 16×138 segment anchor made of A4 stainless steel is designed for fastening in concrete — both cracked and uncracked, including under seismic loading. Its construction allows safe and durable installation even in tight installation spaces.

The long thread (138 mm) provides flexibility during mounting — it enables adjustment of the embedment depth to the thickness of the target element. The maximum thickness of the element that can be anchored is 20 mm. Exceeding this value prevents proper system operation.

The minimum edge distance from the concrete is 85 mm — for both intact and cracked concrete. The minimum centre‑to‑centre spacing between anchors is 70 mm. These values are critical for maintaining load capacity — any violation requires a design recalculation.

In C20/25 concrete, the anchor achieves a load capacity of up to 16.7 kN in uncracked substrate and 9.5 kN in cracked substrate. These parameters are certified by the European approvals ETA and CNBOP, confirming that its performance is verified and documented by the certifying bodies.

Installation requires a hole with a diameter of 16 mm and a depth of at least 110 mm. Tightening is performed with a torque wrench set to 50 Nm. This anchor must not be used in natural stone — its approval applies exclusively to concrete.

A4 stainless steel provides corrosion resistance — ideal for humid interiors, industrial halls, or locations exposed to atmospheric conditions. This is not a “one‑size‑fits‑all” anchor.
