Segmental anchor BAZ 8x112 A4 steel – robust fastening in demanding conditions
The BAZ 8x112 anchor made of A4 steel is designed for applications where corrosion resistance and high load capacity are required – e.g., in coastal structures, pools, industrial installations or outdoors. Its segmental construction allows safe and stable fixing in concrete, even when it is cracked or has a small thickness.
The long thread (112 mm) provides flexibility during installation – the embedment depth can be easily adjusted while maintaining the proper edge distance from the concrete. This is especially useful in tight spaces or when it is difficult to position the hole precisely.
Load capacities are confirmed by the European approval ETA, meaning the anchor meets requirements for static and dynamic loads, including seismic actions (category C1). In concrete C20/25 it provides tensile capacity of 3.6 kN in cracked concrete and 6.3 kN in uncracked concrete – sufficient for most wall and slab attachments.
The minimum edge distance is 50 mm, and the minimum spacing between anchors is 50 mm. Exceeding these values reduces capacity – but with these limits the anchor can be installed close to the edge of a slab or column where other anchors would not work.
Installation is simple: just use a screwdriver with a torque of 20 Nm and a 13 mm wrench. No special equipment is required – the installer can install it like a standard expansion anchor, but with greater confidence and longer service life.
It can be used in concrete of any class (C16/20 to C50/60) thanks to the wide ETA approval. For higher concrete classes the capacity increases by up to 31 % – meaning the anchor not only meets the standards but performs better than the basic data suggest.
It is not suitable for fastening in natural stone (except M8 and smaller) or in lightweight materials. However, where corrosion resistance and reliability are needed – it is one of the most proven options.
