BA plus 6x80 segment anchor – solid fixing in uncracked concrete
The anchor has been designed for permanent and safe fixing in uncracked concrete, with ETA Option 7 approval – which means its load capacity has been verified and approved by the European technical assessment system. It is not a typical expansion anchor – its construction allows precise and repeatable installation even in industrial conditions.
High thread and bolt hardness, produced by cold forming, guarantees wear resistance during driving and long‑term load stability. The rounded expansion cone eases installation – it does not require precise hole alignment and also minimises the risk of concrete damage when the element snaps into place.
All models of this series have a long thread – for the 6x80 anchor the thread length is 30 mm. This is a key feature for installers working with thick wooden or metal elements where a greater embedment depth is required. In practice this means no additional nuts or washers are needed – the anchor itself covers a wide range of material thicknesses.
The yellow depth marker on the anchor body is not only an aesthetic element – it is a functional installation tool. It allows a quick check whether the anchor has been driven to the correct depth (h1 ≥ 48 mm), which directly affects its load capacity. Without this marker one would have to measure every hole – here a glance is enough.
The 34 mm diameter washer (compliant with ISO 7094 / DIN 440) is specially designed for fastening wooden structures. It distributes the load over a larger area, preventing cracking or crushing of the wood – especially under high tensile forces.
Installation and operating conditions
Correct operation requires a hole depth of 48 mm, and the installation torque is 15 Nm. The drill bit should have a diameter of 8 mm – this is the only dimension to remember when preparing the hole. There is no need to experiment with different diameters or try to “gain” more capacity by enlarging the hole – exceeding the permissible diameter reduces safety.
Load values for this model in C20/25 concrete:
Tension: 3.6 kN
Shear: 3.0 kN
Bending moment: 4.7 Nm
These values are calculated with a safety factor γF = 1.4 and take into account all risks related to edge distance and spacing. Minimum edge distance in concrete is 50 mm, and minimum spacing between anchors is 105 mm. If these conditions are not met, the capacity drops – so do not install the anchor “by eye”.
Who is it for?
For the installer: easy installation, clear depth marker, no need for additional elements when fastening wood.
For the end user: a durable connection in concrete – without the risk of pull‑out or settlement over the years.
There is no room for compromise. This is not a “quick‑fix anchor” – it is a tool for a permanent structural connection. And it works as it should.
