Segmental anchor BA plus for concrete and dense natural stone

Anchor BAP 12×120 is an ETA Option 7‑approved solution – this means its load capacity has been verified and approved for uncracked concrete. This does not exclude use in other materials – according to the manufacturer, the anchor is also recommended for dense natural stone, but only for diameters up to M8.

The version with a large washer (44 mm diameter, compliant with ISO 7094 / DIN 440) is intended for fastening wooden structures. The washer size provides even load distribution on wood, reducing the risk of cracking when installed in thin or delicate elements.

Installation depth is 90 mm – the minimum hole depth that must be drilled in concrete or stone. Effective embedment depth is 70 mm – this value must be reached for the anchor to achieve its full capacity. The long thread (120 mm) allows flexible adaptation to the thickness of the attached elements, even if the wood or other material is thicker than typical.

A yellow indicator on the anchor body shows the exact embedment depth. When the hole is drilled to 90 mm and the anchor is driven in until the indicator reaches the material surface, the installation is correct. This simplifies on‑site work, especially for through‑hole mounting or in hard‑to‑reach locations.

Maximum tightening torque is 50 Nm. Exceeding this value may damage the thread or cause over‑expansion – do not tighten “hard”. The through‑hole diameter in the mounted element (e.g., wood) is 14 mm – matching the standard diameter for an M12 screw.

Minimum edge distance in concrete (Cmin) is 90 mm. If the anchor is installed closer to the edge, capacity may be reduced – this is not a prohibition, only a calculation condition. Characteristic edge distance (Ccr) is 105 mm – the capacity values in the certificate are calculated for this distance.

Shear capacity is 9.5 kN for C20/25 concrete under the specified installation conditions. High thread and body hardness, achieved by cold forming, ensures repeatable parameters and wear resistance during multiple installations.
