BAP anchor 16x180 – solid concrete fixing with precise installation
The BA Plus segment anchor 16x180 is a solution designed for durable and safe fixing in uncracked concrete – with ETA Option 7 approval, meaning its load capacity has been confirmed by a European technical assessment. It is not a typical expansion anchor – its design has been optimized for practical installation and stability under static loads.
High tensile capacity (11.9 kN) and shear capacity (14.6 kN) in C20/25 concrete allow safe fixing of heavy structures – from wooden frames to metal components in industrial construction. The installation torque of 90 Nm is significantly higher than for smaller diameters, which means greater expansion force and better stabilization in deep holes.
The M16 thread with a length of 180 mm is intentional – it provides flexibility for installation in materials of varying thickness, e.g., fastening wooden beams to foundations or mounting frames on concrete walls. The large washer (60 mm) distributes the load and prevents damage to wood or other base materials.
A yellow installation depth marker on the anchor body is a simple yet effective feature: the installer can immediately see whether the anchor has been driven to the correct depth – no measuring, no guessing. This reduces errors and increases repeatability.
The rounded expansion cone facilitates insertion of the anchor into the hole – even with slight deviations or debris. It does not jam, does not “catch”, and provides an even distribution of expansion force.
The anchor is made of hot‑dip galvanized steel – resistant to corrosion in dry and moderately humid conditions. For aggressive environments, stainless‑steel A2/A4 versions are available, but this version is standard for most construction applications.
Installation requires a hole with a diameter of 18 mm and a minimum depth of 110 mm. Minimum edge distance is 100 mm, and distance from other anchors – 255 mm. These values are not suggestions – they are required to maintain the designed load capacity. Exceeding them may lead to concrete cracking or reduced capacity.
There is no room for compromise: if you need an anchor that functions as an approved structural element – not just a “thing that holds” – this anchor meets those requirements.
