Concrete screw with M8 thread – solution for insulated floors and suspended structures

The BTS E 6×135 screw with external M8 thread is designed primarily for installation on insulated concrete floors, where traditional driven anchors and threaded rods are difficult to use. A length of 135 mm allows safe anchoring through a thick insulation layer – up to 100 mm – without the risk of incomplete insertion.

The ability to mount and dismount repeatedly is crucial: the product is approved by ETA and CNBOP for use in non‑structural applications, even in cracked concrete. This means it can be unscrewed and re‑installed without loss of load capacity, which is especially useful when modifying electrical or HVAC installations.

Two‑step installation – no additional elements required

No anchor, rod, or nut is needed. Simply drill a hole of the appropriate diameter (according to the manufacturer’s instructions), clean out the dust, and screw the fastener directly using a tool with a TX or HEX socket. The hex socket provides stable torque transmission, and the integrated washer distributes the load over the concrete surface.

Two embedment depths are available: 85 mm or 100 mm – the choice depends on the insulation thickness and the risk of hitting reinforcement. The shallower depth (85 mm) reduces the chance of striking rebars, which is important when working on existing structures.

Zinc‑aluminum coating – corrosion resistance without additional protection

The zinc‑aluminum coating offers high corrosion resistance, even in humid environments typical for HVAC or electrical installations. No extra painting or protective covers are required – proper installation alone ensures long‑term durability.
