The BTS6 E concrete screw with dimensions 6x85 mm and external thread M8 is a solution dedicated primarily to work in suspended ceilings and insulated concrete structures. Its extended length (85 mm), combined with the M8 connection thread, allows for secure mounting of rails, pipe clamps, or electrical profiles through thermal insulation layers without the need for additional expansion anchors. This enables installers to avoid the time-consuming process of "blind" installation, where traditional anchors require precise insertion before screwing in the component.

This system is based on a two-stage installation principle: first, a hole is drilled using a specialist SDS drill bit, and then, using the same tool (with an appropriate adapter), the anchor is screwed in. The 16 mm long M8 thread enables direct screwing of mounting elements, significantly accelerating on-site work. It is worth noting that thanks to the reduced anchoring depth (35 or 50 mm depending on the selected configuration), the risk of hitting reinforcement bars during drilling is minimized, which is crucial when working with precast channel slabs.

Application and mounting versatility

The product finds wide application in the HVAC sector and electrical installations where mounting on insulated concrete ceilings is required. Thanks to the certified ETA and CNBOP approvals, the screw can be used for multiple applications in non-structural uses in cracked concrete (class C20/25–C50/60). It is also approved for installation in precast, prestressed channel slabs (C45/55), making it a universal tool for professionals working on various substrate types.

The main advantage of this model is the ability to adjust the mounting depth and flexibility in selecting the thickness of the mounted insulation. In the case of this specific dimension (6x85), the maximum thickness of the mounted element (insulation + profile) is 35 mm or 50 mm respectively, covering most standard applications in industrial and public utility construction. The hexagonal head with an integrated washer of 14 mm diameter ensures stable support and even distribution of clamping force.

Durability and operational safety

A key structural element is the zinc-aluminum coating, which provides high corrosion resistance even in difficult environmental conditions. Therefore, no additional anti-corrosion protection is required after drilling the hole. The screw features a socket for SW10 socket wrench, facilitating its rotation even under high tightening torque.

To ensure proper system operation, drill bits with a diameter of 7.5 mm should be used, and holes drilled to a minimum depth of 40 or 55 mm, guaranteeing full embedding of the anchor and appropriate load-bearing capacity resulting from an anchoring depth of 35 or 50 mm. The available M8 connecting thread with a length of 16 mm allows for quick tightening of auxiliary elements without using additional adapters. The steel construction protected by a zinc-aluminum coating guards against corrosion throughout the entire service life, while the obtained ETA and CNBOP approvals confirm approval for use in both cracked concrete and prestressed slabs. A standard package contains 50 ready-to-use anchors.

To maintain full compliance with the ETA approval for multiple mountings, more than one screw should be used per load point. The maximum tightening torque for this type of anchor is approximately 150 Nm when using an impact wrench, which should be taken into account when selecting mounting tools.
