Universal frame anchor for fixing substructures and wooden and metal elements

The MFR SB 10x180mm anchor with a hexagonal socket screw (TX) is a solution designed for safe and durable fixing in various construction materials – from concrete and solid brick to aerated concrete, clinker, and lightweight blocks. Thanks to the integrated washer and flat flange, it eliminates the risk of crevice corrosion, which is crucial in connections between metal elements and the substrate.

All lengths up to 160 mm are pre-assembled – the screw is already installed in the anchor, reducing installation time and minimizing installation errors. The 180 mm version is not pre-assembled but maintains the same design: the safety screw is permanently attached to the anchor and not mounted separately.

Two setting depths – flexibility in practice

The anchor allows setting at two depths: 50 mm or 70 mm. This means you can adapt its performance to the thickness of the material in which it is installed – for example, for thin aerated concrete walls or thicker cellular concrete structures. When the hole is drilled to a depth of 60–80 mm, the anchor automatically expands in the correct position thanks to transverse thickenings on its surface – ensuring strong holding power upon first contact with the hole wall.

Approved and proven applications

The product holds an ETA (European Technical Assessment) approval, meaning its performance has been independently verified for specific materials and load conditions. It is also tested by Hörmann as a safe solution for mounting fire doors in solid construction materials.

• structures in aerated concrete, clinker, calcium silicate blocks, and lightweight blocks

Construction and installation

The anchor is made of high-quality, aging-resistant nylon – it does not degrade under UV exposure or moisture. The screw is galvanized steel with a diameter of 7 mm, featuring a SW13 / TX40 socket, allowing installation with both hexagonal wrenches and Torx bits – ideal for installer tools. The flat flange ensures even force distribution and protects the surface of the mounted element from damage.

All parameters are consistent with the manufacturer's documentation: hole diameter 10 mm, anchor length 180 mm, maximum thickness of the mounted element 130 mm (at 50 mm setting) or 110 mm (at 70 mm setting). There are no other values – only those confirmed by the manufacturer.
