Universal frame anchor for fixing in various building materials
The MFR 14x230mm anchor with a hexagonal socket screw (TX) is designed for permanent and secure fixing of facade substructures, door and window frames, as well as wooden and metal elements in materials of varying structures. It is used where reliability and long-term stability are required – both in new constructions and renovations.
All lengths up to 160 mm are pre-assembled, reducing installation time and minimizing the risk of assembly errors. This version (230 mm) is not pre-assembled – meaning installation requires manual screw fitting, but offers greater flexibility when working with thick material layers or when adjusting anchoring depth is necessary.
Why does it perform well?
- Advanced expansion design: Transverse thickenings on the anchor surface ensure early and sustained expansion within the hole – meaning the anchor begins to grip even with slight insertion and gradually increases clamping force. Full screw torque is not required to achieve stability.
- Flat flange prevents galvanic corrosion: At the contact point with metal substructures or sheet metal, the flat flange surface separates metals with different electrochemical potentials – crucial when installing on aluminum, galvanized steel, or stainless steel.
- ETA approval: The anchor has confirmed compliance with the European Technical Assessment for concrete and masonry – it is not merely a "standard" wood anchor. It can be used in fully loaded facade structures where load-bearing documentation is required.
- TX 50 socket: The screw features a deep TX (Torx) socket, enabling strong tightening without the risk of tool cam-out – especially during manual work or in hard-to-reach locations.
- Material: high-quality, aging-resistant nylon: The anchor does not become brittle under UV exposure or temperature fluctuations – maintaining flexibility even after years of outdoor use.
Where is it suitable?
- Solid and hollow concrete
- Solid and hollow bricks
- Cellular concrete blocks (porous)
- Prefabricated cellular concrete panels
- Natural stone
- Reinforced concrete panels with conduits
It is not suitable for very soft materials such as polystyrene or polyurethane foam – but where a hard base exists (even if hollow), it performs effectively. In the case of screened concrete or hollow-type bricks, its long length (230 mm) allows achieving the required anchoring depth (70 mm) without the risk of breaking the hole wall.
Important note: the required drill hole diameter is 14 mm. Use the appropriate drill bit during installation – do not attempt smaller diameters. If the hole is too small, the anchor will not expand properly. If too large, holding strength will be insufficient.
This is not a "cheap" anchor for quick fixing – it is a professional tool. For installers: it prevents failures when mounting heavy elements. For end users: it ensures no movement or noise in the facade after years of service.
