Universal flanged anchor for multiple building materials
The MZK 8x48 flanged anchor with a 5x70mm screw is a ready-to-use kit that operates safely in solid materials – concrete, solid brick, blocks – as well as in perforated structures such as hollow bricks or gypsum boards. Thanks to its four-sided expansion during installation, it ensures a stable connection even under high pull-out loads.
All this is made possible by its construction from high-quality polyethylene – a material that does not lose flexibility over time, is not brittle, and does not degrade due to environmental conditions. The anchor is halogen-free, meaning it does not emit harmful gases in case of sudden overheating – an important feature when installing in enclosed spaces or near electrical installations.
The screw for chipboard (SPS 5.0x70) features a countersunk head and electro-galvanized coating, facilitating easy driving and increasing corrosion resistance. There is no need to select a separate screw – everything is already optimized for use with this anchor.
Why does it perform well in practice?
- Installation requires only a hole with a diameter of 8 mm and a depth of 60 mm – a standard drill with the appropriate drill bit is sufficient.
- Anchoring depth of 48 mm provides sufficient load-bearing capacity for most applications, such as suspending pipes, cables, ventilation ducts, or structural elements.
- Minimum substrate thickness is 9.5 mm – ideal for mounting on OSB boards, wood, or thin metal sheets.
- The screw length is 70 mm – allows fastening of elements up to 20 mm thick without risk of penetration.
- The kit is packaged in 50 pieces per box – convenient for installers on-site and for warehouse storage.
No specialized equipment required
No hammer or expansion tool is needed. Simply drill the hole, insert the anchor, and tighten the screw – expansion occurs automatically during screw driving. This significantly speeds up work on-site, especially when dealing with large numbers of fixing points.
There is no need to select different anchors for different materials – this single kit handles concrete, brick, hollow blocks, and boards. Sometimes simplicity is the most effective solution.
