What is this anchor used for?

The HRM 9645HRM metal anchor is a solution for mounting on hollow cavities – ideal for gypsum board, particleboard, or fiberboard, as well as suspended ceilings. It requires no special substrate conditions, and its function relies on the expansion of the rear arm upon screwing in, creating a stable base over a large area. This is not just mounting – it’s ensuring load-bearing capacity where traditional threads or nails fall short.

How does it work and how to install it?

After drilling a hole with a diameter of 13 mm and screwing in the anchor (length 80 mm), its rear portion expands and presses against the walls of the hollow cavity – this is what provides high load capacity. The plate thickness for which it is designed is 32–45 mm. In practice, this means it performs well even with double-layer G-K boards.

Installation can be done manually using a screwdriver or cordless drill with a PH2 bit. But if you’re installing more than a dozen anchors, the MZA 100 tool is not an option – it’s a necessity.
