Metal expansion anchor for gypsum board and other thin materials

The HRM 8mm anchor is designed for mounting on hollow cavities – it performs exceptionally well in gypsum board, particleboard, or fiberboard, as well as suspended ceilings. Its design enables secure fastening of loads even in sheets ranging from 3 mm to 16 mm thick, making it a universal solution for mounting lights, shelves, hooks, cabinets, or curtain rods.

Upon insertion and tightening, the rear portion of the anchor expands over a large area, creating a stable holding point. This not only increases load capacity but also minimizes the risk of pull-out under both static and dynamic loads. Compared to plastic anchors, the metal construction offers greater durability and does not degrade due to moisture or temperature fluctuations.

Non-flammable – complies with Class A1 according to DIN EN 13501-1 (formerly DIN 4102), meaning it can be used in buildings requiring fire-resistant solutions. Certified by CNBOP – confirming compliance with Polish building regulations.

Installation is simple: drill a 13 mm diameter hole and press in the anchor. For optimal and controlled installation, it is recommended to use pliers MZA 100, especially when installing multiple anchors. However, a cordless drill or screwdriver may also be used for occasional applications. The anchor features an M8 x 16 mm thread and a hex head (SW13), allowing easy screw tightening.

Important note: although the manufacturer specifies a range up to 45 mm for other HRM versions, this specific model (9816HRM) is intended exclusively for material thicknesses between 3 mm and 16 mm. Do not use it on thicker panels – full load capacity will not be achieved.
