Self‑tapping screw for sheet metal and metal profiles

The screw with a hex head (SW 7 socket) and an integrated washer is designed for installation in thin steel sheets and profiles without the need for pre‑drilling. A special drilling point at the tip of the thread allows self‑penetration of material – from 2 mm to 6 mm thickness, depending on the screw diameter. For this model (4.2 mm) this means a stable attachment to sheets up to about 5–6 mm thick.

The washer integrated in the head provides an even distribution of clamping force, reduces the risk of surface damage and eliminates the need for additional fastening elements. The self‑tapping thread works like a drill bit – no pre‑drilled hole is required, which speeds up installation and reduces the number of tools needed on site.

Compatibility and application

The product complies with DIN 7504K and carries CNBOP approval – confirming its conformity with Polish safety requirements for fastening elements in electrical and construction installations. It is mainly used for mounting distribution board enclosures, cable trays, steel profiles and other metal constructions where a fast, durable and reliable fixation is required.

Material – steel – is galvanized, providing corrosion resistance in dry and moderately humid conditions. It is not suitable for installation in wood or gypsum board – its construction is optimized exclusively for metal.
