Universal expansion anchor for mounting on various substrates
The USN 40 mm anchor is a solution designed for quick, bridge‑free fastening of sheet‑metal components and guards — from wall‑connecting profiles to cornice guards, motion sensors or small lighting. It requires no additional fastening elements, and its design allows direct installation in almost all common building materials, including concrete, brick, blocks and hollow bricks.
V‑shaped flexible elements made of glass‑fiber‑reinforced nylon provide a stable expansion force even in hard substrates. EPDM sealing protects against moisture and weathering — therefore the anchor does not age or degrade under UV radiation. This is crucial for outdoor installation or areas with variable humidity.
The 15 mm‑diameter head has an aesthetic shape and is available in gray (RAL 7045), allowing better integration with installation surfaces. Installation requires only a hole of 5–6 mm diameter (non‑impact drilling), and the drilling depth should be at least 40 mm. The maximum material thickness that can be attached is 5 mm — ideal for thin sheets and profiles.
After installation the anchor can be removed: either chisel out the main part, or drill it out with a special drill — the notch on the head facilitates tool guidance.
Why it works?
No thermal bridge — does not conduct heat, so it does not affect wall insulation.
Resistance to external conditions — glass‑fiber‑reinforced nylon and EPDM sealing work even under extreme temperatures and rain exposure.
Fast installation — no need for screws, nuts or additional parts; just a hole and a hammer.
Versatility — works both in dry interiors and on facades or roofs.
Removability — not permanent. If changes are needed, the anchor can be removed without damaging the substrate.
Not suitable for installation on thermal insulation — for such cases use IPS or IPSD screws.
