Universal Expansion Plug for Mounting Sheets and Profiles
The USN 40 copper plug is designed for direct, rapid mounting of sheet metal and profile components — from eaves covers to motion sensors and small lighting fixtures. It does not create a thermal bridge, making it ideal for insulated wall and roof constructions.
Manufactured from glass-fiber-reinforced nylon with an EPDM seal, it resists aging, UV radiation, and extreme weather conditions. The flexible V-shaped elements ensure stable expansion force — without the need for additional screws or nuts. Installation is simple: drill a 6 mm hole, insert the plug, and press the component into place.
It performs reliably across most common building materials: concrete, solid brick, concrete blocks, hollow brick, and even AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) at grade AAC6. Pull-out values are tested and published — no guesswork involved.
The main head (Ø15 mm) features an aesthetic design and copper color (RAL 8004), allowing seamless integration with metal surfaces without hiding the fastener. If removal is needed, simply knock it out with a chisel or drill it out with a 5 mm drill bit, thanks to a special notch on the head.
No additional seals or washers are required. It does not corrode and does not conduct electricity — electrical joint protection is built into the material.
Requires a minimum hole depth of 40 mm; the thickness of the mounted material must not exceed 10 mm.
