Universal bracket for mounting on gypsum‑board (G‑K) and other hollow spaces

The BT Plus M8 bracket is a solution designed for installers who need a stable, quick and reliable fixing in drywall (G‑K), fiberboard, chipboard or concrete block. It requires no additional tools – installation is performed manually, similar to a cable snap. After inserting the bracket into a drilled hole of 19 mm diameter, simply pull it until resistance, and the metal part snaps behind the board – provided the space behind it is at least 51 mm deep.

After snapping, the plastic washer is pushed into the hole, and the excess legs break off according to the instructions. Installation finishes by screwing in a standard metric M8 screw – no need for special screws or nuts. The same tool you have in your bag – it works.

Why it works?

The metal part of the bracket has a full bearing surface on the inner wall of the hollow space – not point‑loaded as with traditional clips. This means the load is distributed over a larger area rather than concentrated at a single point. Therefore the bracket achieves a load capacity up to 50 kg – both in tension and shear – even with a board thickness of 12.5 mm. In double‑layer constructions (e.g., two layers of drywall (G‑K) 9.5 mm each) the capacity rises to 500 N in tension and 500 N in shear.

You do not need specialized tools. You do not have to search for the right screw – you use the same one as for other fixings. You do not have to measure the exact board thickness – the bracket works from 10 mm to 70 mm. You only need to check one thing: whether there is at least 51 mm of free space behind the board.

This solution is standard among installers: electricians mounting cabinets and cables, plumbers fixing radiators or shower frames, kitchen fitters installing wall cabinets on drywall (G‑K), and builders performing interior finishes. The bracket works not only in gypsum‑board (G‑K) – it also performs in fiberboard, chipboard and concrete blocks with large cavities.
