Smoke and Ventilation Control Panel – Reliable Safety Control

The RZN 4408-M control panel is a modular system designed to manage smoke extraction and natural ventilation systems in buildings. Compliant with EN 12101-10:2005 + AC:2007, the device effectively controls the spread of smoke and heat in the event of a fire. Integration with the AdComNet network expands the system's functionality, enabling remote monitoring and control.

The panel is an ideal solution for both small and medium-sized facilities where reliability and efficiency are crucial. Equipped with one free plug-in slot, it allows for easy expansion of the system with additional modules, adapting it to the specific needs of the installation. It supports two smoke extraction zones (2 lines, 3 groups), allowing for precise control of individual building areas.

Functionality and operating parameters

The RZN 4408-M allows connection of up to 8 smoke extraction buttons and 14 fire detectors per line – with the proviso that they must be detectors approved by D+H. Direct connection of weather sensors and electromagnetic catches simplifies installation and increases its functionality. Programmable alarm and fault functions allow the panel to be adapted to the specific operating conditions of the facility, and the ability to limit the stroke and time for ventilation optimizes system performance.

The panel monitors the lines for short circuits and open circuits, ensuring continuous control of the installation status. A drive current of up to 8 A guarantees compatibility with a wide range of actuators. The 230 V AC / 50 Hz / 240 VA power supply and 24 V DC / 8 A output ensure stable system operation. In standby mode, it continuously consumes only 5 W of power, while in alarm/ventilation mode it operates intermittently with a duty cycle of 30%. The operating temperature range from -10 °C to +55 °C ensures reliability in various environmental conditions.

User comfort and safety

The RZN 4408-M offers automatic diagnostics of lines for short circuits or open circuits, making it easier to identify potential problems and reduce repair time. The possibility of using emergency power supply (requires two 12V/3.4Ah batteries) ensures continuous system operation even in the event of a mains power failure – up to 72 hours of power backup can be achieved. The panel housing is made of durable plastic with steel doors (GEH-KST), guaranteeing durability and resistance to mechanical damage.
